William began his career designing a year of experiential learning with Experience Institute, a self-directed fellowship to learn through apprenticeship. During this year, he explored design by building experiential learning programs at the ad agency Leo Burnett, shaping a new platform for artists at Threadless, and designing new ecommerce tools at PayPal.
After Experience Institute, William focused on deepening his craft in product design, design operations, and facilitation. He worked at Salesforce Ignite to help Fortune 500 companies use research to inform product and business strategy. He helped build an organizational design team at RXBAR to scale experiential learning and improve ways of working across the organization. He worked at Tock to expand their digital product during COVID 19 with Tock To Go. Recently, he worked at Sprout Social leading design for a new feature area and helping shape a design operations practice.
William cares deeply about experiential learning, which led him to Wayfinder. He also volunteers with a local bikecamping organization, climate groups, and alternative education programs that help people learn through real-world experience.
