London, England
Ishani Parekh

Ishani’s passion for holistic education and tackling systemic inequalities began at a young age through her own experiences of schooling, and has since taken her around the globe working with disadvantaged communities to provide quality education that truly equips people to thrive and find meaning in the world.

After training and working as a secondary school English through the Teach First UK programme, Ishani went on to co-found the educational social enterprise, Revolution Hive. To date, the organisation has worked with over 8,000 students across England, combating educational inequality by addressing the gaps in the traditional curriculum and empowering youth with an education for “real life”.

Ishani has also worked as an education consultant and facilitator for various organisations, such as the The Old Vic Theatre, Shakespeare Schools Foundation, and recently with the British Council delivering a Life Skills programme to students and teachers across the Middle East. Through her work, she has seen first-hand the power that purposeful education can yield, and is thus honoured to join the Project Wayfinder team as a Guide and overall ardent advocate!

Ishani holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Warwick (UK) and is about to start her next adventure at the Harvard Graduate School of Education with an M.A. in Education Policy.
