Ifeyinwa Anako is an Education Consultant and Mathematics Content Coach who believes in the power of developing agency in all students. Through her work experience she’s witnessed firsthand the agency class communities possessed when they believed in their own learning abilities. Prior to coaching, Ifeyinwa served as a mathematics teacher in New York City for ten years. In that time, she has served in various leadership roles across a variety of school communities. Her passions ultimately led her to open an all boy’s charter school in the Bronx -- Stratford Preparatory Charter School for Boys -- in 2017. Additional organizations Ifeyinwa has partnered with include Harlem Children’s Zone, Black Girls Rock, and the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools.
She earned a BS in Diagnostic Research from the University of Connecticut, and an MSEd from St. John’s University in 2014. Ifeyinwa enjoys working side-by-side with schools and districts to help students, teachers and school leaders develop mathematical learning identities through engaged math mentorship practices.
Ifeyinwa recognizes the power of community and collaborative learning and is eager to continue supporting students, teachers and school communities through Wayfinder.
