Stephen teaches the theory of knowledge course at Uplift Infinity Preparatory High School (Texas). Serving as a grade-level coordinator at his campus, having “patience in the process” is the primary attribute he intentionally uses to foster positive relationships and a safe environment at his school. He addresses the inequities his students are challenged with on a daily basis by also serving on his school’s diversity, equity and inclusion team.
Incorporating Wayfinder into his pedagogy has created a newfound passion for social-emotional learning practices within the classroom. Stephen has seen first-hand how this curriculum can help students navigate uncertainties of life in a more realistic, relevant, and comprehensive way. The Wayfinder experience has given many of his students a call-to-action to diligently find purpose in their lives.
Stephen holds a B.A. in Religion from Texas Christian University and a M.T.S. in World Religions from Southern Methodist University. He is also a professional jazz pianist and organist who has shared his musicianship around the world.
