Anya Kazanjian

Outreach Coordinator
Anya Kazanjian

Originally from Seattle, WA, Anya comes from a family of artists and educators. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Political Science and English, focusing her studies on international humanitarian law. Anya developed her passion for interdisciplinary problem-solving and community engagement through her upbringing and education.

After graduating, Anya worked in civil litigation for two years. From there, she spent multiple years with a felony diversion and prevention program in Seattle. In an effort to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline, she founded a tutoring program for justice-involved youth, recruiting and training volunteers to support 30+ students with a small team.

Anya went on to join a workplace sexual harassment advice and prevention program in Vancouver, BC, designing and delivering public legal education workshops to organizations and communities province-wide. In addition to managing community outreach, Anya worked with survivors of sexual violence to understand their needs and what justice meant for them. Anya’s interests in trauma-informed care and educational equity led her to Wayfinder.

In her free time, Anya enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing sports (softball, tennis—anything with a ball!). She loves finding ways to get outdoors and turn everyday activities into games.
